"Sweet Lou's Blues" is Lutalo "Sweet Lu" Olutosin excellent new jazz vocal recording. Sweet Lu is best known for a truly funky jazz singer, he is ready to rock the jazz world with his new creations!  In his Sophomore release Sweet Lu teams up with an accomplished crew of New York’s Jazz Specialists including; Jeremy Pelt (Trumpet, courtesy Highpoint records), Multi-Grammy winning saxophonist Tivon Pennicott (Tenor & Flute), Master drummer Jerome Jennings (Earnestine Anderson, Hank Jones, Sonny Rollins), Double bassist Mike Karn (Jimmy Heath, Ray Charles) and former Wynton Marsalis musical director Antonio Ciacca (Piano, Arrangements).  The dynamics of this Sextet allow their offerings of Soul-Jazz, and Vocal renditions of tunes like 'Theme for Malcolm' and ‘Mamacita’ to groove and swing with a retro-modernistic style that is simply priceless. One of the highlights of the project is Lu’s lyrical interpretation of Dexter Gordon’s solo on Herbie Hancock's ‘Driftin’ recorded in 1962.  Produced under the watchful eye of internationally-acclaimed musicologist Antonio Ciacca at Tedesco Studios, (New Jersey) Sweet Lu's latest CD (Sweet Lou's Blues) is a jewel that every jazz lover who thrives on jazz vocal work with want to have in their collection.  Influences include Thelonious Monk, Jon Hendricks, Al Jarreau, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock, Horace Silvers, George V.
